A little hooking! My new project to keep me busy in the evenings.

Good afternoon all and what a lovely afternoon it is!
I can even admit I am looking forwards to my evening walk with the dog, it's so warm and sunny.
I had a good day in work today, it is never quite as frantic during the week as it is on a weekend, which is nice.  Back in again for me tomorrow for a bit more of the same.
On to today and I am sharing my next crocheting project with you.  I should really be making poppy's ready for Remembrance Sunday like I did last year but the urge hasn't grasped me yet!
I thought I would start a blanket for my front room, this is my colour combination....

I think I need 196 of these beauties!  Phew, it could take some time averaging one or two a night.
I guess you could say good things come to those who wait!  ;)

What have you been up to today?

I have a card to make this evening, tea, walking the dog and then a little ironing before sitting down to relax and crochet. I think I better get a move on.
Have a super evening, more from me again tomorrow.  x

Now I like the look of these, great colour combination, will make a super "bedcover"..........!!!
Snap!! I am crocheting at the moment as well. Will show mine later when it's finished.
Sometimes I am amazed that we actually live in the same country.
We have had bucketing rain and thick mist ALL day.
Enjoy your evening

Hi Erika,
now this reminds me of a book I bought with a similar pattern, and wanted to make the lovely blanket.
You have just reminded me to start it soon so thank you.
I have been out singing this afternoon.
I belong to a group of singers who entertain some nursing homes, and the money we make goes to The Dame Vera Lynne charity for children with Cerebral Palsy.
Going to relax shortly and watch a film.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Hi Erika,
forgot to say it's been very hot in Kent today just like a wonderful summers day.
So we had salad for our evening meal.

Looks lovely Erika. Love the colours. I'm crocheting a bright scarf just now. We've been told that hats and scarves are useful for the Blythswood boxes. I've made quite a few now as well as jumpers. I've found a crochet hat pattern that I may be addicted to not to mention granny square blankets. I've also knitted some tiny hats, mitts, bootees and cardies for prem babies for ARI and Ninewells. Unfortunately I forgot to take pics of all the things I've been busy with!
