That's demo day in Elgin at Papercraft's Boutique done and dusted and what a busy day we had.
I hope all the lovely ladies I met today have enjoyed their new toys and are busy playing this evening!
All the boys in my house are busy having a nerf battle tonight, their dad included so I have snuck away with a nice glass of wine and decided to start up dating my blog with what I was up to last week and today of course.
This first card I am showing you seems to have been the favourite of the day.
I would like to thank Marlene for the inspiration on the step card.
I was asked to give the measurements for it on my blog so ladies here goes:
Score your card from 1" in at 1", 2" and 7" (on the inch strip) then repeat on the other side at 1" in at 1", 2" and 7". The middle that you haven't yet scored do so at the 6" point. Now cut from the 1" point to the 7" point up the card where you have scored in at the 1" point of the card either side.
Then it's all down to the folding.
The card automatically folds in half at the 6" point then follow the two side parts and fold down at
the 7" points, up at 2" and back down at 1".
Then you have your basic card shape and it's all down to the decorating after that.
I have cut a window in the card using Spellbinder nestabilities rectangle then a black frame which I've 3d foamed on top with the same rectangle and the next size nestie rectangle scalloped.
Behind it I have mounted a MM Make a wish clear stamp from PI on to acetate.
The card I have used is American craft black and pink and I have edged using Martha Stewart edger two dot punch and black soot Ranger distress ink.
I have also added pink card on the back of the inside card to get the colour following through.
The sentiment is from PI clear stamps Paula Pascual Double sayings with black StazOn ink and cut out with Spellbinders nestabilities label 14.
The final touches are with satin ribbon from my stash and bling from Zva Creative.
Phew did you get all that?!
So have a go and let me know how you get on.
More tomorrow but I'm now away to CHILLAXE and finish of my nice glass of red before my fingers start typing their own thing!!
LOL.
Enjoy your Saturday night be it in crafting or out and about.
