Good morning and how are you this Thursday.
The weather isn't great up here in the North, windy, dreich and the chance of rain is imminent looking at the cloud formation. In other words a great day to stay in the warm and get creative.
Unfortunately for me that isn't going to happen as I am off to work shortly, on the upside it is only a short shift and then I am home to BAKE for tomorrow's coffee morning.
That is the reason for not posting yesterday, after visiting the hairdressers I had to pick my wee man up from school as he wasn't feeling great. I think just a bit under the weather.
He is having a day with his Dad today whilst I go to work, the tables have changed!
As I was confined to home yesterday afternoon I spent the rest of the day in the kitchen, with homemade Spaghetti bolognese followed by Apple and cinnamon crumble all from scratch, plus I started my baking for Friday.
I shall continue my baking after work today. I have a couple of new recipes to try out, no pressure then! Why don't I just do something I know I can do?
It's good to try something new! (So I keep telling myself.)
On to today's crafty share, yesterday it was my BFF's daughter's 17th birthday. I know she shall be starting to drive so I put some money in a box towards a lesson. I would normally get a little something like some sweeties too but she is not like my two, not keen on sweets.
I had to get my thinking cap on.
She is a fan of blue like me so I kept that as the theme. The keyring was an idea for her to put her car keys on eventually. "May angels watch over you whilst you are out on the road!"
The angels are made with various jewelry findings and beads. The box is made using an Xbox pillow box die, for some reason I didn't photograph it again once packed with a tag and twin.
The stamps are from Papertrey ink and the details are here as it is a remake of a previous loved card.
I wrapped the angels in tissue paper and dressed up in the box, slipping the money in there too.
That's all from me today, I'm away to get ready to go into work. Enjoy your Thursday and stay warm and dry. I'll be back later whilst my cakes are baking to catch up with you all and your makes over the last couple of days. Happy crafting!

What a beautiful card and gift for your BFF's daughter Erika. The card is so pretty and I'm sure she'll appreciate the money when it comes to driving lessons. The little angel keyring is adorable and something she'll be able to enjoy all the time. Bet she'll be over the moon with it.
I have a similar charm with just one angel on my handbag that a friend put on a card for me 2 years ago and I treasure it.
I do wish I could come to dinner at your house! You certainly do lots of lovely home made cooking. I used to be a "good wife" until about 20 years ago. Now I tend to do as little cooking as I can get away with. Isn't that an awful thing to admit!!!
Happy Baking and enjoy the coffee morning tomorrow. I hope you all raise lots of money as I assume it's for MacMillan. Barbxx
Oh this is a beautiful gift, so sweet !
