A little paper piecing, CAS style.

Good morning and how are you this Monday?
A lovely walk this morning, it was no coat weather!  A bit on the breezy side but a beautiful sunny day, perfect washing drying weather.
Did you have a good weekend?

I had a good day at work on Saturday followed by a relaxing evening.  Yesterday our local crop got together so I had an afternoon of playing with different card making techniques, some of which I shall be showing you later this week.

Back to today, I have a couple of bespoke cards to make for friends so they're first on my to do list today, followed by the lovely job of ironing, crampons at the ready!
Before I disappear I wanted to share a clean and simple card with you.  I have used a set of Hero art stamps Big flowers, one of my favourite set of stamps.
I've used it loads.
It is definitely an investment set I would recommend.
Today a little paper piecing and dare I say decoupage.  I'm not a big fan of decoupage but quite enjoy making my own letting the stamps do the work, you'll see what I mean below.
For this simple style of card you just really need to be good at cutting out.

It is also a great way of using all those scraps of paper, if you are anything like me I have boxes of them.
I've just stamped on different coloured scraps and then matte and layered together adding a button, it couldn't be easier.  The lettering is created using my computer.

Why not dig out an old stamp and have a go at paper piecing rather than colouring in an image?

It only remains for me to wish you all the very best this Monday, enjoy your day whatever your plans.  More from me tomorrow.  x

A great idea to use up the mountain of scraps we all seem unable to part with :)
Love this stamp, very bold and funky. Good luck with the ironing!
