I'm just jamming, won't you join me?

Good afternoon, how are you?
As I am posting this the heavens have just opened and it is absolutely dinning down.  I'm glad I am inside and not out walking the dog.

A late post for me today.
I had a wee health scare recently, it has been on my mind even though I have tried not to dwell. Today I had appointments over at Raigmore hospital after dropping the boys off for school to follow up on previous results.  The good news is that I have been given a clean bill of health.
Hurrah, to celebrate hubby and I enjoyed lunch out before heading back before school home time.

I mentioned earlier in my blog that I had been making jam at the weekend.
This coming years Raspberry jam is done and dusted and stored away for the coming months.

I didn't boil it as much as last year so I have a soft set jam this time.
Last year was the best batch I've ever made, I guess you could say I was a little distracted this year with the goings on.
It tastes good, which is the main point, I always like it with a bit less sugar than recommended so it is a little sharper than shop bought jam, more like fresh raspberries, if you get my drift.  Just perfect with freshly made scones and cream, nomn, nomn.
I so need to loose weight at the moment but I just love all the wrong things!

Talking of food it's The Great British Bake off" again this evening.  Are you watching?
I love it.
The only problem with the show is that you really have to partake in a little something naughty whilst watching, a scone or cake with a cup of tea is the only way.  I don't know about you but the show always leaves me feeling hungry.

That's enough from me, all this talk of food I better go and think about putting the tea on.
Enjoy the rest of your "hump" day.
I hope you have better weather than we have today?
More from me tomorrow.

Glad to hear all is well Health Wise, enjoy every moment.
Have not made any jam this year. My neighbour has medals for Jam making, she's made it all.
We pick the berries, I buy all the sugar and she makes it and gives me share.
Only thing is it never seems to last long no matter how many jars you store away.

Glad to hear that you have been given a clean bill of health and can now stop worrying.
Your jam looks lovely and professionally packaged and labeled Erika. Homemade preserves always taste better than shop bought ones too.
Take care

Jam is something I've never made! Well done you...love your labels. We've had another lovely day which was unexpected but thankful for as we were viewing a house. Glad all's well with you...we do tend to get our knickers in a knot not knowing though! Carol x

Erika, glad it was good results. Yes these scares play on the mind, I don't think I could have even thought iof making jam, when I was awaiting results. You jam on those scones sounds yummy. Ok you need to lose weight but Erika, it isn't the end of the world and your head has been in the wrong frame to thinking eating healthy. Love how you label your jars. Hazel x

Hi Erika,
that jam sounds wonderful.
It's a very long time since I made jam.
Your jam pot looks so good too.
So glad to hear your health scare came out good.
We do worry about things don't we, and I don't know about you, but I try and hide things from my hubby as he has enough of his own health probs to contend with.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
