What's on your Work desk this Wednesday 176

Hi folks and it's hump day again....the weeks are just flying by, it will soon be Christmas!
I am writing this Tuesday evening as I had a call earlier today to ask if I can work tomorrow, whilst you read this I shall be a busy little bee elsewhere but hope to be back later in the day to have a nose at all your lovely crafty spaces and return the love.
This is what I was going to play with today.....

This is a template I bought ages ago to make some Christmas mini books and I had forgotten all about it until I had a wee tidy.  Isn't it amazing what you find.  Before I put it away somewhere safe never to be seen for another 5 years I thought I'd make a couple up instead of Christmas cards for family this year.  This is my prototype, yet to be decorated.

You can find more lovely craftiness via our fine host Julia by popping over to her blog here.

And my funny for today was sent to my by my lovely pal Sharon about "My Satnav", it did make me smile.....does it sound familar to you?!

I have a little Satnav
It sits there in my car
A Satnav is a driver's friend
It tells you where you are

I have a little Satnav
I've had it all my life
It's better than the normal ones
My Satnav is my wife

It gives me full instructions
Especially how to drive
"It's thirty miles an hour", it says
"You're doing thirty five"

It tells me when to stop and start
And when to use the brake
And tells me that it's never ever
Safe to overtake

It tells me when a light is red
And when it goes to green
It seems to know instinctively
Just when to intervene

It lists the vehicles just in front
And all those to the rear
And taking this into account
It specifies my gear

I'm sure no other driver
Has so helpful a device
For when we leave and lock the car
It still gives its advice

It fills me up with counselling
Each journey's pretty fraught
So why don't I exchange it
And get a quieter sort?

Ah well, you see
It cleans the house
Makes sure I'm properly fed
It washes all my shirts and things
And  keeps me warm in bed!

Despite all these advantages
And my tendency to scoff
I only wish that now and then
I could turn the f**ker off

Have a super Wednesday all and thanks for popping by, I'll be around later today to catch up.

I love finding new things when I clean up! Its like getting a little present, from past me :)

That poem is too funny! I think I'll show it to my fiance. He is a terrible backseat driver. "Babe, you should hit the brake. Brake. BRAKE! BRAAAAKE!!!!!!" Oh, did I mention that I'm stopped when this happens?

Love the poem - it made me hoot!!! I hate Satnavs, won't have one in the car. I always check out a map beforehand and have a pretty good sense of direction :D
I so wish you could have been there at the crop, you'd have loved it! Maybe you have to organise a WOYWW Scotland crop - there's a fair few of you up there!
Hugs, LLJ ~56 xx
PS I adore the Christmas cards you've posted recently, especially, the roundy tree, the sexy black number and the snowflake. I'd buy them!!!
