Less we forget, hooking style.

Good afternoon, getting there with my poppies, I now need to find my pin backs, anyone have any idea where I have put them?  Me neither!

I tried the sugar starch on a trial piece of crochet and didn't like the finished effect so I am thinking of going back to my original plan of using spray starch.  Then it is just the backs and boxes left to do.
If you mentioned you'd like one of this years poppies I have a note of your name and shall be in touch once completed in full.
Thanks again to you all for you support, it means a lot to me, especially after watching DIY SOS last night.  I just feel not enough is done for our armed forces especially those affected by mental/physical injuries coming back from conflict.

I must just add this comment if anyone has just landed here having not read my earlier posts about making these poppies.  I make a limited number every year with a slightly different pattern, ALL the money donated goes to the British Legion.

Back to today, I have one card order under my belt but another still to do.  Then I think I should really feed my lot, a late breakfast makes for a late lunch.  As for the rest of the day, I have no plans as yet, I shall see what the day brings.  Enjoy your Thursday.

These look lovely Erika and it's a fabulous thing you are doing for these brave men and women to donate to this charity. I didn't see the programme but intend to watch it on 'catch up' and see it all.
Hope the day goes well.

Erika, another batch of wonderful poppies. Oh I with you no the fact not enough is done for our armed forces personnel. I think what has been done by DIYSOS,should be getting done all over the country by people who are learning trades like plasterers, bricklayers and these kind if trades what better way to get their skills put to good use and learn at the same time. Hi Erika, I agree not enough done for war veterans, I had quite a few as clients when I worked in mental health. This has been the same after every war that's happened, it's disgusting.
Anyway, I'm sure your lovely little poppies go a long way in helping with funds and raising awareness and although I love the white poppy I got last year, I would love one of your new ones, kate x
