This is my entry to this months Sugarbowl challenge.  This month we had a sketch to follow and have to add "shabby chic"!
I have used Rusty Pickle Mayflower range as I thought it went well with the stripes and spots of the SN stamp "Blossom" by Leanne Ellis.
Instead of inking my edges....which I just love to do..and you can tell by the state of my chalk inks just now...I think you could call them well loved!  Anyway getting back to inking today I have used a cotton bud and Tim Holts distress ink vintage photo to give it that shabby look.
The flower I got the idea from here (thanks Dawn for the inspiration and Sharon for the link) adding wire rather than thread through the button and shaped it like Blossoms flower attachment in her hair.
The rub ons are from a swatch book by Creative Imaginations and the rafia was lurking in my craft room :-)
I raised Blossoms flowers and added small pearl glass centres, you can see better here:
Loved the challenge again girls, enjoyed having time to just play and see what I come up with...seem to spend a lot of time just now not doing enough of that sort of crafting.
This is going to be a Mother's Day card for my mum, who like me is not really a girlie girl, more a black motorbike leather kind of gal!
And as for the stamp I have recently had my hair cut very similar to Blossoms, just wish I had her body, lol, well, maybe bigger legs and feet, but isn't that all part of her charm?!
Happy crafting guys.  xxx
