Ooh arh a tractor!

Which of course needs to be said in a true West country accent.

This is a card that I have made for a close friends brother who owns an old grey tractor.
I got the tractor on Etsy from Paperadditions in the form of a digi image and have coloured with my copics.
The gingham paper is from a local craft shop "for local people," the bunting I've made and added letraset.
A couple of brads and a bit of rangers black soot finished the look.

Card Patterns Sketch blog

Yesterday it was our local crop and I would like to thank all the lovely ladies who came for making it such a fun afternoon, crafting, laughing, drinking and more crafting...what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon?!
It was so lovely to see a couple of new faces too, hope you had as much fun as I did.

This was what I got up to.....I needed to make a thank you card and found this lovely sketch over on Card Patterns Blog and just had to have a go.

And here is my take on it:

I loved this sketch and have used:
Paper:  Black and white card, Basic grey kraft paper pad
Flower stamp is from SU Mixed bouquet with many thanks to Marlene x
Circle and scallop round Nestabilities from Spellbinder
Martha Stewart deep blossom eyelet punch
Embossing folder from Gill at the crop yesterday....many thanks x
Thank you disc from America
Brad from PI
Ribbon from stash and Rangers black soot distress ink

This card is to go to a lovely lady, who I have yet to meet, who laid on a very special treat for my family last weekend.
We had a fantastic time and I just wanted to thank her for arranging it for us, all four of us appreciate your kindness and generosity.
You know who you are!!  xxx

Sugar Bowl challenge 56 "In the Pink"

It's that time again and this time it is the lovely Kiki's sketch with the theme PINK!
Now for those of you that know me, know I am not a pink person so I had to have a real good rake around in my craft room....and there is still the mess to prove it!
(I had to dig down deep for pink!)
This is my design:

I am loving these digi images over on Funky kits home of Sugar Nellie.
This image is called Bambino and is simply gorgeous to colour in, I have used my copics and a little stickles.
The paper is from Joanna Sheen pastel plaid.
Martha Stewart deep edge punch Blossom eyelet.
Stitching on my machine, flowers, satin ribbon and metal embellishment from my stash.
The sketch to work from from Kiki is this:

As you can see I have not followed Kiki's sketch to the letter, sorry Kiki.
I did start to but I then had a step back and decided on a "less is more approach".
For me personally I feel the card works better this way, but it is my choice....
I would love to see what you come up with.

On to the important fact...up for grabs this time as it is a "think pink" theme,
a bow of pink crafting goodies for the winner.....ooooo.....very girlie!
But remember as I often say,
you've got to be in it to win it!
Happy crafting. x

It was my friend Pam's birthday yesterday and as it was a big one I wanted to include a little keepsake in with her present.
This is what I came up with:

Pam loves tulips so when I saw these ladies I just had to have them.
I have been playing just lately with a soldering iron and am liking making up these little glass slides.

My local craftshop Papercraft's Boutique will sortly be getting a super Beading bar and I can't wait to add to my collection of beads, which in comparison to my papercraft stash is some what small.

.....I so need a bigger craft room, LOL.
No actually I lie I just need a major clear out,
but I hate getting rid of anything that might come in or be useful
....it drives my hubby mad!
I can't be ruthless it's just not in my nature,
you can guarantee the week after a clear out I want to use something I've thrown away or handed on elsewhere
....sods law and all that.
So I will live with my muddle and be grateful I have no bigger worries.

Have a great Monday guys and craft on!!

So next week it's my boy's birthday so I saw this digi image over on Mo Mannings site and just had to have it for him.
Since getting his IPod this is him.
Always head down with one gadget or another.
I though it appropriate.

I have entered it into Mo's digital challenge where the theme is GREEN.

The papers I have useds are green SU textured card and Kaiserscrapbook photo friendly.
The rub ons are from daisyd's birthday descriptive words and letraset.
Hemp cord from True Hemp.
"Hi there" cloth sticker from my stash which roughly translates into "I can't remember where I got it from!"
Invisible stitching on machine, coloured with copic pens, tag punch from stash, ink by Ranger Distress ink tea die and Ranger distress tool also used.

I really enjoyed making this card, it is not a colour scheme I would usually pick,
but I'm always up for a challenge.
Now I have to make something for a friend who turns the big 40 tomorrow....mmmmm...what will it be?!

Sugar Bowl challenge 55

It's that time again, Sugar bowl challenge and this time it is my first sketch so I do hope that you enjoy it.
Here is my take on it:

And the sketch:
And my theme is "SPRING".

I have used:
Papers:  K & Co Berry Sweet range and American craft pink and orange.
Stamp:  Simply Sassy Fashionista and SU with love.
Flowers:  Daisy crazy by Prima.
Leaf punch from stash, stitching on machine and distress with Tim Holtz tool.
Colouring in with copics.

I wanted something bright and colourful to bring us into Spring with a bounce, LOL,
I say this while it is again snowing outside, brrrr!
The daffodils are out and my other bulbs are coming up in the garden....
move on snow and let the better weather and lighter nights commence.....please!
I love this time of year when the nights stretch and the garden starts to come to life...it gives hope that the days will warm.
Notice I say HOPE!!
This year we are going to have a good Summer,
you heard it here first....either that or I've just issued the "kiss of death"
I "hope" not!

Oh and the prize.....well it is......
wait for it.....
a goodie box full of lovely new stash to make something other than cards with your stamps.
If it is the lovely new stash that Karen ordered at the Trade fair someone is in for a real treat,
believe me,
I was there,
but remember you've got to be in it to win it and it must have a Sugar Nellie stamp on it to qualify for the prize.
Happy crafting and I look forwards to seeing what you come up with.

Another month!

It's that time again, well actually yesterday was that time again...just a wee bit late.
What for?
My 365 day calendar.
Now I started it at the local crop on Sunday but knew it needed something more and had forgotten to take stamps with me.
Anyway...I couldn't find what I wanted so I decided to be very brave and doodle last night whilst watching Vampire Diaries!
This is what I came up with:

As it is March I wanted to use a Spring like theme and I have ended up with my version of tulips.
I have used a variety of green ink pads and my Ranger tool to do the background then sprayed with Glimmer mist's gold and Lime twist.  The flowers I have cut from yellow and white card stock and some I have embellished.
The doodling I have coloured with watercolour pencils and added a touch of pearl ex powders for glimmer!
The lettering is from letraset and my cricut machine.
I am really happy with the finished product and love the, in your face, Spring colours....let's just hope we now get the better weather to go with it.
You can see some more calenders here.

And here is February finished:

So what will April bring....I've already got an idea for that one!
