Share an oldie this Friday, let's start with a festive bunch!

Good afternoon, a late post today and no post yesterday, gosh work interferes with your crafting!
I did have something to blog yesterday but again missed the light for photographing, got to love this time of year!  It has been wet, dark and miserable all week, you know the sort of weather.....where you just want to curl up on the couch?
Talking about curling up on a couch, I finally entered the world of the onesie yesterday.  My boys have had them for ages and are always slobbing around the house in various animal states. We have monkeys, tigers and wolves living here!
No longer a onesie virgin I am now wondering what took me so long, I have never been so cosy on an evening and comfortable.  As far as I can see there is only one downside.......having to strip right off to go to the bathroom, but I suppose if they had butt flaps, we'd all be wandering at home looking like overgrown babies?!  Now that wouldn't do!

Back to the crafting, I thought as Christmas is in full flow at work, maybe it's time to start a Christmas themed share an oldie.  I seem to have plenty of old Christmas projects to share so here goes, today I have chosen this card.

Close up.
Inside.

For this project I have used:
MME Loss and Found Christmas 6" paper pad.
Martha Stewart punch Doilly lace.
Crackle glaze and Stickles Diamond with StazOn Timber Brown.
Distress ink Tea Tye.
Stamped images from Inkadinkadoo Winter Wonderland
and sentiments from PI Kirsty Wiseman Many Greetings.
Spellbinder Shapeabilities die Ribbon tags trio.
Ribbon from stash.

You can find the instructions to make this card here.
I have found through playing
StazOn ink works the best with Crackle glaze.
The stickles have been added on top of the glaze once dried.
I love this shape of card and would like to thank the girls over on Splitcoaststampers for sharing this tutorial.

Ho, ho, ho!  I hope you like the first of my Christmas oldies?  There's plenty more where that came from.  Please do join me sharing an oldie, not forgetting if you do join in to leave a message below so I can see what you are sharing too.  I will pop over and visit you all.

I normally now wish you all the very best for the coming weekend, I have a busy one planned.
I am early to work tomorrow and then we're all off to a firework display after tea.
Sunday it is Remembrance parade, which should be interesting as my eldest boy is doing one and my hubby another.
I think it is going to be a busy couple of days.
More from me again soon, happy crafting and take care this coming weekend.  x

  2. Hi Erika,
I am a bit late commenting as I am still having slight troubles with my darn mouse and browser doing all sorts of weird things, and it takes me ages to get round every ones blogs.
i am also having to enlarge each one again because of my eyes, as when my DH re-installed it I lost all my settings.
    Love your Oldie Christmas card.
it's a really great design, and fab papers used too.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
