And now for something a little different! Sewing time.

It's Saturday and today I was on earlies at work and finished at lunch.  It is lovely to get home and have the rest of the afternoon and evening but I still have fun getting up at 5 a.m.  I'm not a morning person but can see the advantage....no traffic on the road and the pick of parking spots plus the added advantage of going home early.
Today I am sharing with you a brooch I made for a friend at work.  I made myself one last year and she had admired it and asked if I would make one for her.  Now I'm not great at doing things on a time scale but if I promise, I do deliver.....if some what late.  In my defence my craft room has been in such a muddle I was having trouble locating my felt and the pattern I had made.

I did think I would make some of these for November and Remembrance Day to raise funds for the British Legion but I think I need to come up with a simpler pattern, maybe just two layers of petals?
I love all the individual layers but I couldn't sit and rattle them off like the one above, it would take to long especially when raising funds for charity.

It's our local crop tomorrow at the village hall in Hopeman, where like minded crafters get together for the afternoon and play....sorry craft....away from the family.  Lots of tea and cake plus a wee bit of crafting, no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon.  If you are local and craft leave me a comment today and your contact details for more information, we usually meet once a month.
The more the merrier!
It only remains for me to wish you all the best for the weekend.  I will try and take my camera tomorrow so I can share with you photo's of what we get up to at a crop.
