Whats on your Work desk Wednesday 163

It's Wednesday again, hump day and guess what....it's raining  again in sunny Scotland!  Another dreich day ahead, our local fair has it's "Harbour night" tonight, which I guess is why it is raining, heaven forbid we have a night without waterproofs.  Still a couple of alcoholic beverages and who will care!
Moving on to my desk...as I've mentioned I am presently working on something that I can't share just now but I am using these papers....

Got to love MME paper pads, lush!
What are you up to this Wednesday, I'll be having a look later this evening via Julia's fine blog.
Have a super day and I thought I'd leave you with this funny I got from my dad this morning, it made me smile.

The  local news station was interviewing an 80-year-old lady because she had just married for the fourth time.

The interviewer asked her  questions about her life, about what it felt like to be marrying  again at 80, and then about her new husband's occupation.

"He's a funeral director," she  answered.

"Interesting," the newsman thought. He then asked her if she wouldn't mind telling him a little about her first  three husbands and what they did for a living.

She paused for a few moments, needing time to reflect on all those years. After a short time, a smile came to her face and she answered proudly, explaining that she had first married a banker when she was in her early 20's, then a circus ringmaster when in her 40's, then a preacher when in her 60's, and now in her 80's, the funeral director.

The interviewer looked at her, quite astonished, and asked why she had married four men with such diverse  careers.

She smiled and patiently explained, "I married one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go."

  11. love the papers and the joke! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I loved Yellowstone and like you my daughter wished she could stow away in my bags. I felt guilty till I remembered all the trips that we did when they were babes and and thought nah...I love Scotland btw! Took the Caledonian Sleeper Train out of London to Inverness then took the bus back down stopping several times along the way. Loved it!
    Have a great week. Vickie

  15. That's a good funny. I tell my hubby that we are so old-fashioned being married to only each other for so many years. I suggest we get divorced and remarried so we can introduce each other as our second wife/husband. You know, just to be fashionable.

I love me some MME papers, then again it is rare that I don't find something to love about all papers. I often think about doing a WOYWW post on all my paper stashes to prove the 8-foot stack of paper really exists. Then I remember that hubby reads my blog.

Love those paper pads, MME are the bomb! I'm on a paper diet so I've just bought some stamps off Ebay instead, lol!! What are we like!! I hear a whisper that the UK might be getting some better weather, hope that's true so you can salvage some of the summer. Thanks for your kind words re the ribbon holders. Have a great weekend.
