Share an oldie this Friday.

Good morning.
It's Friday again and so I'm sharing an oldie with you today.
This week my blog postings have all been on the theme less is more so I thought I'd carry on this on with this card.

This is created with PI stamps, embossing with Spellbinder and paper by Tim Holtz.  It does have glitter on the dandelion but unfortunately my early camera work doesn't pick it up well.

Feel free to join me this Friday with sharing an old project.....doesn't have to be a card, it can be anything crafty.  Just leave me a comment below so I can come and enjoy your oldies too.  I will visit you at some point over the weekend if not today.
As I mentioned earlier I am having a day out and about in Inverness.....girlie fun time!

Back soon with more crafty fun.  x

This is a story about three little bears......

Afternoon all.
Overcast weather wise up in bonnie Scotland today, but it's warm so I guess it will do, thank you.
It's not cold and wet so anything else is a bonus.

Today I decided make a couple of cards with buttons, I hate to admit it but I have a bit of a thing for buttons.  My craft room is oozing with all manner of buttons and these really are too cute to use but I must start using and not collecting.

We therefore have three little bears to share from Dress it up and a Spellbinder die to create the frame.
Simples!
I really am embracing the less is more approach just now.  I guess you can tell that after my recent posts.

Yesterday I got a lovely surprise in the post which I will share with you soon.  I'm sure you will love it nearly as much as me.  It does however mean that my fingers are itching to move away from the cards and back to something else.  Mmmm the plot thickens.

I popped into work this morning to pick up a parcel I ordered and just happened to drop a few other nice yum yum's into my shopping basket.  It isn't good for the waistband working for M & S too many new products to try as the summer range is now in stock.  How rude it would be not to try them, do you not think?

Did you watch BGT last night again?
I loved these guys Well heeled dancers, I wish I could dance like that in those heels!  Great choice of music too....made you want to jump up and join in.  Twerk that boody!
Did have to smile at Dec's comment at the end mind.....how very dare he!
In my mind there was only one winner on the show last night and that was Lucy Kay, what a stunning voice she had. Amazing.

Anyway that's enough of me wittering on, I guess I can't put off the ironing no longer so I'm away to collect my crampons and rope.
Boo, hiss!
I'm away for a girlie day out with my pal Irene tomorrow.....look out Inverness as we are coming shop, shop, shopping.

Remember to share an oldie with me too tomorrow as it's Friday, I'll be around later to visit your blogs. Don't forget to comment so I can visit your crafty space and check out your oldie too.  x

Less is more on the floral front. A variation on a theme.

Morning all, how are you all this "hump" day?
Morning chores completed with only the ironing left rearing it's ugly head so I've popped on to show you a quick less is more card on a similar theme to a card last week.

This card was made using stamps of flowers and leaves together with paper by K & Company, floral centre by Prima and the floral die is by Spellbinder edgeabilities.
I love these simple flower shapes for paper piecing.

Did you watch Britain's got Talent last night?
I didn't really think the show was as strong as Monday's but I did like this chap James Smith and so did everyone else as he won.
Does that make me crazy?
I would buy his music, at only 15 I predict a big future for this young chap.

I'm away to get creative or iron?
Decisions, decision!!
Enjoy your Wednesday.  x

A cut above the rest.

Good morning all.
First the weather report!
The haar is in again this morning but hoping it could make for a lovely afternoon once it has lifted.
Guess that means get jobs done as soon as possible then I can enjoy the rest of the day.

Today I want to share with you another bespoke card made recently.  The brief....a 30th card for a hairdresser.

Papers are DCWV Lemon flower stack and buttons from Dress it up.
I don't normally use lemon on cards except at Easter but it seems to be back on trend just now.
It always reminds me of a pair of stilettos I had back in the late 80's.  I thought I was the bees knees clomping around in a pair of bright yellow 4" heels!  :o
That's fashion for you, it travels in big circles and is rejigged and rehashed, this time I won't be wearing them, I don't think my feet could take it.  Give me comfort any day!

Have you anything exciting planned for the rest of the day?
I have some housework to start and a couple of cards to finish, we won't mention the ironing!
Maybe if the sun gets out later I'll find time to play.
Did you watch the live finals of Britain's got Talent last night?  I loved the group Collabro that got through and the magician Darcy Oake was fantastic, shame about the comedian Jon Clegg though as I do think he was really funny, especially his impression of Dec.  LOL.  It was worth watching just for those three performances.

Time for me to crack on, enjoy your Tuesday.  x

As snug as a bug in a rug!

Afternoon all, how the devil are you?
The weather is all over the place today, first we had the haar whilst out walking the dog, then it brightened up and was really warm so I popped out to do some shopping.  Then just after lunch the heavens opened and boy did the rain fall, accompanied by great cracks of lightning and growls of thunder.  Needless to say the dog was a little spooked so we had a coffee break and cuddle!

How was your weekend?
I had a really busy day at work Saturday followed by a quiet night in with a glass of wine and Britain's got Talent....I know how to party!
Yesterday I got together with a few crafting buddies for the afternoon, tea, cake and crafting, what better way to spend a Sunday?
I actually managed to finish another project of mine, my woollen weaved rug.

This is my first attempt at a peg loom rug.  I'm finally glad to have it finished, now where is it going to go?
Whilst I was finishing it off, at my afternoon crafting, my pal Christel said I know who will claim that......I said who.....she said....can you guess?

As I laid out the rug to tidy up my tassel's a little visitor joined me and claimed it!  Wee monkey.  I think not.
How very dare she?
Mind you if it gets the dogs seal of approval, what more could I ask for?

I hope you are enjoying a good Monday, more from me tomorrow.

Share an oldie this Friday......crafty style of course.

Morning all, how the devil are you this Friday?
I can't believe that is another week ending, where does the time go?

I have to wish my wee monster a "HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY" today, doesn't time fly when you're having fun?
Now to really embarrass him, 'cause that's what Mum is for.......

Tee, hee!
He got a super new bike today so is outside playing as we speak, enjoying the fresh air.  It is fresh today too, we had one sunny day earlier in the week and since then the weather has been dull, overcast or raining...feeling more like April than May.

Now on to my "Share an oldie this Friday."
As it is a certain little chaps birthday I thought it should really be something appropriate to him, I found this one and thought, mmmm spot on!

I have used Pirate Monkey from Sugar Nellie.  The plaid paper is from Elsie and is called Forrest Ranger and is mixed with my own card stock.  The pirates chest is from Darcie's stamp set Shiver me timbers as is the sentiment.  The pearls are from Hobby house.  Finally the embossing folder is by Sizzix and is also a plaid.

Just perfect for my little monkey!

A busy weekend is planned here.  I have an early start at work tomorrow as it is a dine in weekend followed by Sunday afternoon crafting with my pals again.  Tonight we are having tea out to celebrate with our birthday boy and he is having a couple of pals over next week.

If you'd like to join me sharing an oldie this Friday, I'd love to see what you pick, don't forget to leave a comment and I'll visit you all.  It's fun to share!

It only remains for me to wish you all the very best for the weekend and more from me next week. x

Pull yourself together and craft!

Good afternoon all.
Today mum and I have been making curtains for my niece's dolls house.  Well I cut them out and mum was on the machine.  Team work.  I actually think a proper set of curtains would have been easier, talk about fiddly.
It is my youngest birthday tomorrow so I've been busy getting ready for that too.  Card made, very simple!
Balloons ready to blow up!  So nearly there now.

For lunch we popped over to Covesea to the Tee Shack for lunch.  We timed it just right and were there before it got busy.  A lovely lunch was had by all, just a shame about the weather because on a beautiful day the view out to sea is fab.

This afternoon I've been catching up on a few jobs and also managed to finish another one of these.

I think I need to find another dishcloth pattern as I have this one cracked, just need to press it now.
So what are you up to this Thursday?
Time now to think about tea, catch you all tomorrow for sharing an oldie.

No crafting for me today.

Afternoon all, today I've been out shopping with my mum.  Not something I do everyday!
It wasn't even exciting shopping but we popped to work, lots of nice yummies for tea, mmmm.
Dine in on again this weekend at Marks and Spencer with lots of choices, especially if you get in before the weekend.
It would be rude not to have had a selection to share with my parents!  :)

This afternoon I've been catching up on a couple of card orders but I can't share them with you just yet.  I have to hand them out first.  I did however see this quote and thought it was very true so I just had to share.

I love this.
Too many time we worry about whether other people will like our finished project or not, when what is important is enjoying the process.
Isn't that why we craft?
Not everyone is going to like all of your work all of the time, it's the nature of the beast.
We all have different tastes because if we didn't the world would be a boring place.

Here's to being different and having fun in the process!
Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday.  x

Clean and simple card making is definitely the way to go.

Afternoon to you all.

Firstly I have to say I may have misled you yesterday with regard to what my eldest son was playing.  He is indeed working towards learning the pipes but is still on the chanter, he has been told by his teacher that he should be on the pipes very soon.  He can't wait!
I can.....do you know how noisy they are?!  LOL.
He was actually playing the snare drum in the band this weekend as he is learning both.
They all looked very smart in their kilts, don't you agree?

Back to today and I have another simple card to share with you.

I have used a Martha Stewart punch, hero arts stamp for the flower and leaves, Waltzing mouse stamps for the sentiments and finally the papers are MME Stella and Rose.
A simple card using the lovely papers to create the colour of the flower.

Today I've had a lazy day enjoying time with my parents.  I did have a trip to the dentist this morning to have some work done and I was an hour in the seat....#jaw ache!  The joys!
That's all from me today folks I'm away to maybe catch up on a little ironing or maybe even to chill....enjoy the rest of your Monday.  x

Monday, May 19, 2014

Good afternoon crafters.......job day today.

Afternoon folk how the devil are you this fine Monday evening.

I've just had a right scare.  My youngest didn't come home from school and I couldn't find him anywhere.  It turns out he'd gone to the golf club with a friend and his Granny then back to theirs for refreshments and lost track of time!
It would have been nice to have been asked or told where he was, it is so unlike him.
After an hour and a half  I was fairly starting to worry big time.
Still he is now back home and he got an extra big hug tonight with a wee don't do that again chat.

Moving on how was your weekend?
I had a good but busy day at work Saturday followed by a quiet night in then on Sunday myself and the boys went to Gordon Castle for their Highland games.
I've not been to Gordon Castle before, what a beautiful place and super grounds.

There was loads to do.  The boys had a go at clay pigeon shooting, the youngest had fun on an assault style bouncy castle.  There were lots of craft stalls for mum and plenty of food and yummy things to eat.  We were there as my eldest now plays for one of the local pipe bands and it was his first games playing.   Exciting times.

My parents have just arrived for the week so today has been spend galloping around the house making it look tidy!
As you do.
I'm going to sign off for now but will catch you again tomorrow.  x

A thought for the weekend......

Hi all whilst I'm busy beavering away I thought I'd share this with you.
I read this quote yesterday morning and thought how true and wise, we could all learn from this, so what better than to share it with you.

Now isn't that a bit deep for a Saturday but I'm sure you'll agree quite true.  Get out and live life!

Enjoy your weekend.  x

Share an oldie this Friday!

It's that time of the week again, where does it go?
A beautiful day here in the North of Scotland, dog walk this morning minus coat......the better weather is coming!

I'm still plugging at sharing an oldie on a Friday, maybe someone might join me?
This is a style of card I haven't made for what seems like ages now, I have moved on to a less is more approach.  I still really appreciate other card makers work like this especially the fabulous colouring in and layering.  It's just not me anymore.  Maybe I need to get a couple of images out to play with?

I have used Sugar Nellie digital image Rebecca together with papers by DCWV The Mademoiselle.
The image is coloured with copics, the sentiment is from Marion Emberson and the dies from SU.

A little something completely different for you this Friday.  x

So what are your plans this weekend?
Apparently the weather is going to be fine.
I am in work tomorrow and then hoping to go to Gordon Castle Highland games on Sunday as my eldest is playing in the pipe band there.  It should be fun if it is a nice day and apparently, I've not been before, there will be craft stalls to have a nosey at too.  I'm looking forwards to it.
Another busy weekend a foot!

Have a super time and more from me soon.  x

Are you sitting comfortably? Let the crafting begin.....

Afternoon all, how are you doing this Thursday?
I dropped my eldest and his friends away in the hills this morning and hope they enjoy their trek and camp over.  It's perfect weather just now for them, cloudy and not too warm, lets hope it stays and they don't get lots of rain.
Then I had my youngest home for lunch followed by a meeting this afternoon.

Even more surprising than that is....I've made another card.  I know!
I think the bug is returning.
I recently purchased this die on Facebook and thought I know just what I would like to do with it.
Here it is, another clean and simple card.

The die is from the Spellbinder D-lite range and is Medallion two.  The stamp is by SU and the ribbon, pearls and cross from my stash.
I always like to keep sympathy cards very simple, I think the occasion dictates it, but that could just be me?

Whilst you recover from the shock I'm away to put the tea on as it needs a couple of hours to mature, then I have a long awaited date with my iron and board, again!
Enjoy the rest of your Thursday.  x

I think I might be suffering from shock! Making cards yesterday.

Hi folks another late post for you today, I've had a busy day today.  It was the weekly trip for food shopping this morning but I had my other half in tow as he wasn't working today.  Guess what?  Lots of extras in my trolley, oooo this looks nice, can we try that?!  LOL.
My eldest is also away for another exped (Duke of Edinburgh award) tomorrow so have been busy getting him sorted and ready to go.  I have to admit he has managed most himself.
I've just had to get a food and do a little ironing, so I do hope he has remembered everything.

This afternoon I had a visit from my lovely pal Irene, and she brought cake!  Nomn, nomn!
She also had seen this and knew I would love it.

Isn't it fab?
I can see my Holly on at least half a dozen pictures.  It has been christened well and truly this afternoon and will be again very shortly.  Too kind Irene but thank you so much.  x

I'm going to leave you today with a quote for the day, I had planned to join the gang for What's on your work desk Wednesday as I haven't played for such a long time.  Then I looked at my desk and thought, yikes, better not.  I think a good tidy is required first.
I saw this on Pinterest and thought it was neat, so I'm away to get excited and make things!
Enjoy your Wednesday evening.  x

Are you sitting comfortably...are you prepared for the shock?

I've made a card!
I told you, you would be shocked.

I have spent the day with a lovely lady in Elgin teaching her stamping techniques and I've come home in card making mode, so I decided to have a quick play before the kids got home from school.
A while ago I bought a mighty fine selection of SU products but hadn't got around to playing.  I'm so bad at that.  A collector of fine crafty stash!
Today I have put that to rights and have really enjoyed making this simple card.

I think I might be rekindling my card making bug!
Guess it's beans for tea then, LOL.

I hope you've had a super Tuesday, short and sweet today, maybe it's the shock hitting in?!

Get your bunting up.....latest sewing project finished.

Morning, just and how was your weekend?
I had a super busy day at work Saturday followed by a quiet evening as I was bushed!
Yesterday I managed to get my youngest to sit and complete his monthly school project, followed by a lovely long walk on the beach and ice-creams all round.  A nice relaxing day once I'd prised the boys from all electronic gadgets!
I also managed to finish this project too after a visit to one of our local craft shops Bee Crafty for some bias binding.

I am really happy with the results as I got my four tags and this bunting from two fat quarters.  I would have had more but the beach pattern can only be cut one way....you don't want to see upside down ships and beach huts, that would just look odd.

We also have this gadget in the hall which I think is pretty nifty living by the sea.

I bought is a couple of years ago at a Garden centre for my hubby's birthday.  The boat on it is just like his.
I don't know how it works but you set it like a clock and then it lets you know where the tide is in it's cycle.
The children use it for knowing when to go "dooking" and hubby to know when he can get his boat out of the harbour, both activities needing to be around high tide times.
I wasn't sure whether hubby would like it but it has been a useful addition to the home rather than running around trying to find the wee book with the tidal details in.

Talking of the beach, the dog and I have had a super walk this morning, the sun is out, the sky bright blue, the sound of the waves crashing on the sand and only us on the beach.  I love the smell at the beach at this time of year, the seaweed can give quite a strong seaside smell but at this time of year the gauze bushes are in full bloom and smell beautiful, coconut R Us.  It always makes me think of suntan cream or a glass of Malibu, both real summertime smells.
The promise of better weather a foot!
It certain lifts the mood.

I still have my wee man at home barking like a wee seal, dosed up with calpol in the hope it lifts soon and we don't all get it too.
Better go and crack on, housework calling and washing to go out.
I am hoping for some craft time later and another lovely walk on the beach.
Loving where I live when the sun it out.

That's all from me today, enjoy your Monday.  x

Saturday, May 10, 2014

Well, this is my excuse to a busy crafting space!

Morning all, whilst beavering at work I thought I'd show you a couple of funnies.
It is the weekend after all.
Of course they've got a crafty feel to them......I'll leave it up to you as to whether you think they're true or not.

This so is me.

And what about this one?

Guess that if you put them both together it explains why my craft room is such a state.  Do you have a tidy craft space or are you like me?
This could be the reason why it never looks tidy.....I get distracted!
Do you agree?

That's all from me today, have a super weekend and I'll catch up with you again on Monday.  x

Share an oldie Friday.......go on you know you want to. Plus my bunting makes an emergency stop!

I was going to say good morning to you all but I've just looked at the clock....where has my morning gone?
Mind you I have walked the dog, cleaned the bathroom, had wood delivered, washed up and the washing machine is on plus I have two boys home not feeling very well.
A normal day then?  Apart from the boys home.
I also intend to cook very slowly a joint of pork this afternoon and bake cakes.  The pork for tea and the cakes for my boss who has his last day with us tomorrow before moving on, so I thought I'd take in a treat.

Firstly today I wanted to share an oldie with you....I am going to keep plodding on with this one, maybe you might decide to join me, maybe not.

This was an 8" card done for a demonstration at Papercrafts Boutique in Elgin, all products are listed below.
Edgeabilities Classic triple scallops, Shapeabilities Labels 2, Fancy tags 2 and Nestabilities Beaded ovals.
The paper is K & Company Poppyseed Shimmer 12" pad.
Sentiment is Marion Emberson stamps It's all in the words.
Seam binding and pearls from my stash.
This card is so my colours rather than pink and girly, it was also a bit of a whooper.  Sue Wilson always seems to make these bigger cards and I can so see the appeal as you can get so much more detail onto them especially to showcase dies.  As for the postage....that would be a different matter.

Back to today and I continued yesterday with this weeks project.  As I had some material left I started to do some bunting, I did go for three large flags rather than small ones but as you can see from this picture, as expected. I did run out of red seam binding.  It is on my shopping list for after work tomorrow as I am itching to finish it.
I don't know what is wrong with me actually trying to get projects finished and in one week too?! Very scary.

It shouldn't take long to finish.  I will share it next week with you all.

Back to today and I am away to the Post office then back to do lunch for the boys.  Then I shall be donning my apron and making a mess in the kitchen.  Enjoy your Friday and the coming weekend.  I hope you find time for some crafty fun.  x

Sewing machine at the ready, did you guess correctly?

Morning and a better day today.  The sun is out although it's a little cloudy but no torrential rain yet, like yesterday.  It feels more like April than May.

Moving on I didn't quite finish my project last night but it is now done and dusted.  Some of you were very nearly correct, I intend to make bunting with the material I have left when I purchase some more seem binding.  I think I will cut it out and have it ready to go, hopefully that will encourage me to crack on and finish it later in the week.

This is what I was making.....

In my hall I have attached some old style hooks and added sea side pictures, reliving fond memories from junior school days!
The boxes above have hats, scarves and gloves in.  I wanted something to denote who's basket was who's hence bunting shaped tags with our initials on.
It is the first time I've tried to applique initials onto material......I need more practice!  It's a bit fiddly.
Still they'll do the job and I'm happy with my first attempt.

I'm planning to make the bunting for my mirror bigger so that you can really appreciate the lovely seaside material.  #Love it.   Maybe three from the corner of the mirror?  Decisions, decisions!

What are you up to this Thursday?

My next project....can you tell what it is yet?

Afternoon all, a late post from me today as I've been busy tackling my favourite job for most of the day but I did find time to prepare my next project.
What will it be?

I'm hoping to get chance later tonight to have a practise run before I start sewing these beauties.  I guess you could say it's a work in progress and definitely watch this space with more to follow shortly.

I'm itching to thread up my machine and play.....looking up guys, looking up!  (You need to read Monday's post which explains more).

Have a great "hump" evening......oh that does make me smile, the mind boggles.
I guess you could call it my Miranda moment, but then I wonder if you indeed watch Miranda on TV?
If you do, you should get my meaning if not, why not, it is funny.

My machine is calling, more from me tomorrow.
I going before you think I've lost my marbles, happy crafting all.

Universal fun for all!

Afternoon all and this afternoon definitely seems to be better than this morning.  The dog and I got drenched first thing but the sun is out now, best get that washing sorted!
Today I am showing you the last of my holiday snaps....I think I have bored you enough now!
(If my blog ratings are anything to go with....give us more craft and less snaps!)
Must try harder!

The last place I have to show you is Universal Studios.

Lots of good rides to be had at Universal.  The minion ride was good fun from Despicable Me as was Transformers.

The Transformer costumes were awesome, although we were told they were robots!
Revenge of the Mummy was a little scary in parts.  We survived the Twister, Disaster and the Men in Black Alien attack, with a fun ride with the Simpson's too.  We joined ET with a ride on bikes over the city and watched the continuing saga of Shrek....finishing our rides with this one.....Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.

Yes that is a vertical take off!

It was great to see that the Blues brothers were still there performing, opposite the Irish bar in which we stopped for lunch, yum.  I'm a sole man!  Boogie time for parents....embarrassed kids!

We also enjoyed the Animal actors show, some very clever creatures involved there and finished with one of my favourites but you can't mention his name three times.......

Beetlejuice....beetlejuice....beetlejuice!
Now I've gone and done it.  LOL.
Still got a little education to do this end as the kids haven't seen ET yet or Beetlejuice.  Classic films.
As you can gather a great day out was had by all.  This is definitely a park for older children even though there were other rides for little ones too.
One ride I did miss because it is no longer at the park was Jaws....sadly it no longer exists. I guess the film Jaws is a little old now?!
I think it would be the perfect films to remake with a the special effects you can achieve now.  It was scary when it was released, I can remember not wanting to watch it at the cinema, but it has not really stood the test of time.  We did however find this.....in memory of the Jaws ride.

That's all from me today, better get my crafting head back on.  More tomorrow.  x

What do you get up to at the hairdressers?

Good morning all, strange title today...what do you get up to whilst at the hairdressers?
If you are like me and you have a little time to kill because a cut and blow dry is no longer enough....a wee bit of colour goes a long way, know what I mean?
Don't get me wrong I usually enjoy the chat, the magazines (especially the House magazines....how we'd all like our homes to really look!) and I have even been known to take a book.  This time I decided to take a little bit of crocheting with me.
Is that wrong?
Why not be productive with your spare time?

Anyway this is what I made, a new useful item, yes you've guessed I can't get away from dishcloths!
I do enjoy making these.  I know I should move on and try harder patterns but sometimes it's just nice to switch off but keep busy....if you know what I mean?!

So have you had a good Bank holiday weekend so far?
I saw this on Facebook and had to share it because I have had much fun this weekend, not, and this pretty much sums up why.
http://youtu.be/Z7dLU6fk9QY
With my kids it's the X box.
Are we bad to want them to go out, play and socialise like we did?
As a child I was never in, a right tom boy, climbing trees and making dens, only going home at a set time, usually either if it got dark or we were hungry.

I was out with friends for a drink on Saturday night, not something I do very often nowadays and couldn't believe how many folk were on their phones rather than chatting to friends.  Now don't get me wrong, I do have a weakness for a couple of sites and I do love my mobile but I totally agree with this young man......we should all look up during the day and go and do something more productive too.
Why is it so easy to get hooked, I can see the appeal but I can also see the dangers.
What do you think?

Do you think Einstein had a point?

A bit deep and dark from me today but as a mother of two boys it does concern me as to what the future holds for them.  Now I've bent your ears I'm away to look up and try and get a couple of boys unplugged!
Does blogging count?  :o

It only remains for me to wish you all the best for this Bank holiday Monday, have fun looking up too.  x

Why do we crochet ladies?

Morning, whilst I'm busy beavering away at work I thought I'd share this with you this Saturday.
One of my good pals on Facebook shared this with me and it did make me giggle....this is why we crochet ladies....

If only the sweatshirt was teal!  LOL.
I think this makes it very clear why we crochet, don't you?!
Enjoy your Saturday.  x

Sharing an oldie this Friday.......LIS style.

Afternoon, it's a cold one out there today but the sun is shining bright and making up for it with not a cloud in the sky.
My eldest survived his Duke of Edinburgh trek and night in a tent and seems to have had a great time.  As expected he didn't get much sleep and after lots of walking with a full pack on his back it's safe to say he is a tad weary.

Today seems to be one of those days which has come and gone after a dog walk this morning, a few messages under my belt, shopping and picking my boy up, the best part of the day has gone.
Time to iron my uniform and get organised for work tomorrow then maybe have a play with something later!

It's an animals life don't you know.......

Afternoon, no not more snaps today....oh....and this one is going to be a long one.
My eldest sons favourite Disney park, why, well, he loves animals and intends to work with them when he is older so this park was just right up his street.

I loved this tree.....the art work was amazing.

All the animals were carved into the tree, it was fabulous and the attention to detail was just brilliant.

We visited more dinosaurs all shapes and sizes before heading up to Everest to hunt down the Yeti on the railway...a great ride!

We stayed close by for lunch....which was very yummy.  Lots of oriental styles of food...mmmmm.

We then had an ice-cream and watched the afternoon parade....gosh it was a hot one.  A poor elderly chap near us fainted and hubby together with a handful of other folk grabbed him before he fell.  The heat of the mid-day sun taking it's first victim....he was soon seen by a medic.  Very efficient in the parks.
I hadn't been to the AK before so didn't know what the parade would be like, of course it was animal themed and very colourful and I wasn't disappointed.  Mind you there were still adults pushing in front of children shouting out to the characters.  Really!  I know.

We then spent the afternoon on safari......lots of animals to see and very close up too.
Lions and tigers.....but no bears, apart from Winnie the Pooh in a safari outfit, of course!

We even saw Alexander.....simples!  Squeak!

Before an evening meal here......

What an amazing restaurant.  The animals all come alive about every twenty minutes and it is just like sitting in a rain forest....great fun!  Even the stools at the bar had an animal theme....

My youngest and I have decided we think we'd like to live in Florida.
This place was definitely a big hit with the kids but you do have to book or queue.  Booking on line the night before seems to be the best way to go as we found during the holiday.

Lots of photos for you today but we've nearly visited everywhere.....not much left now.
I can hear you all sighing with relief!

I have the boys off for a long weekend till Tuesday at end of school today but I am working Saturday.
My youngest is shouting for a sleepover tonight as I dropped big brother off for a hike and walk today towards his Duke of Edinburgh's award.  I'm hoping it stays dry for him and that it doesn't get too cold tonight.  One thing is for sure he will be coming home very tired and sore tomorrow afternoon!
I'm just hoping he has a super time and doesn't get too wet, cold and hungry.

More from me tomorrow.  x
